The Showstopper vs World of Tomorrow

So, I'm going to present an opinion which I feel is in a minority here.

I feel like most people put either The Showstopper or World of Tomorrow as their favourite mission from Hitman:2016. Lots of people like Situs Inversus more than the Showstopper, but I think that World of Tomorrow is the most liked mission overall.

I, for one, highly prefer the Showstopper mission to World of Tomorrow. Here's my reasons why, feel free to give reasons as to why you prefer one or the other down below.

The Difficulty

Now I personally believe that the Showstopper is more difficult than World of Tomorrow. Why? Well, think about it. While The Showstopper may seem very easy now, if you played with no or minimal opportunities at the start, it was actually fairly tricky to find out where everything was and to complete opportunities. The Bare Knuckle Boxer opportunity, which is the easiest way to kill Novikov for beginners imo, still presents the challenge of finding the recipe in an unfamiliar map. Finding Helmut is a challenge the first time round as well, and getting his clothes without throwing him over the railing and without having his body found is quite tricky. However, World of Tomorrow is very easy in this regard. The Rocco opportunity takes no thinking, and is incredibly easy: at no points does it challenge the player. The detective opportunity is just as easy, with the detective eventually going to a secluded toilet by himself. The only thing that presents a challenge is the virus, and as players usually eliminate the targets before the virus their first time around, they will get the keycard from De Santis, which allows easy infiltration of the lab, and getting a disguise from there is easy, along with the tapes being incredibly easy to take out. SA/SO is also very simple, unlike the Showstopper, which has a lot of methods for SA/SO but they all require more creativity.

Target Routines

This is one of my largest gripes with World of Tomorrow, yet it is the place where the Showstopper excels. Caruso, the main target in World of Tomorrow, has a boring routine: he routine is: Golf course-Dining hall-Gas fire-Observatory-Repeat. Meanwhile, Novikov, who I feel is the main target in the Showstopper gameplay wise (if not story wise) goes Staircase-Model area-Backstage-Serving room-Party-Fashion Show- Repeat. Not to mention his route is highly variable: if you observe the conversation with Valerie St Clair he goes on a long sub route that is surprisingly well thought out.

Opportunities and Potential Kills

Now, the Showstopper has two less opportunities than World of Tomorrow. However, if we count out the Virus, then the opportunities are equal: however, the assassinations outside of the opportunities are much more ripe in the Showstopper. For example, speaker kill, chandelier drops, electrocution kill, luring Dalia to the bathroom, Dalia's glass on the auction balcony, and most notably Code 17. I really love these kills, yet I feel they are lacking in World of Tomorrow, and I think this may be due to the limited routines of the targets.

The Virus

Now, I didn't like the virus. Not because it was a stationary target. These can be done very well, as was showed with Erich Soders in Situs Inversus. No, I didn't like the virus because of the limited ways of dealing with it, and the fact it forced you to enter the lab to destroy it. The methods of killing the virus, as far as I know, are:
Shooting it
Increasing the temperature
Putting a bomb in the bin just next to the virus
Dropping the stalactite
Using the remote kill switch
That's all of them. Now that's not even close to enough if you ask me. A great suggestion I saw in another thread (not sure who thought of it) is an opportunity to disguise yourself as the priest, and convince the scientist in 'Absolution' to destroy the virus. Or to concince De Santis to destroy it as Roberto. Or to lace Silvio's cigarettes with some sort of drug (found in one of the underused apartments, or a shop?) and have him destroy the virus. The wallbamf was the only way of dealing with it without entering the lab, and now that is gone as well. There is certainly a lot more potential for creativity here.

Underuse of the map

Sapienza is huge. However, only the mansion and the lab is really used in the mission. The chirch, for such a massive area, could do with a bit more stiff going on. Nothing happens in the shops except the flower shop. The harbour is simply aesthetic, along with the lawyers office and most of the town hall. Now I admit the second floor in the Showstopper is underused, however it acts more like a key for the rest of the map: it is great for infiltration of the auction and the attic from the basement staircase. The rest of the map is all used very well, from the attic to the fashion show itself.

Well done for reading this wall of text, post your opinions below!
