Here is a list of weapons that I think would be ideal for possible additions to the game’s repertoire over the course of its development.
Weapon technology is constantly improving. Since 47 is working for the ICA he’d have access to some pretty cutting edge weaponry; however his chief concern would be choosing the right tool for the job. Concealability would be a priority. In most countries he’d have a hard time getting a hold of any of his high end weapons and would have to resort to using local contacts and native weapons. Many of the weapons listed could be possible bodyguard, police, or enemy assassin weapons while others could be things to discover in the environment.
Suggested Pistols:
The German HK 45 tactical – Reliable and extremely accurate, I’d recommend this over its 9mm brother the P30L which was featured in the American film John Wick (check it out if you haven’t seen it.) It was chosen for John Wick due to it's astounding accuracy and low recoil while still being slim enough for concealed carry. It is arguably one of the best concealable .45 caliber handguns and features a standard 10 round magazine. This would be my number one choice for a customizable ICA pistol (aside from the silverballers of course.) It could feature caliber conversions to give it either the high capacity of a 9mm or the accuracy and stopping power of a .45.
The Belgian FN 5.7 – This weapon is known for its 5.7x28 caliber round and its 20 round magazine (with a 30 round extended magazine.) It has achieved a level of notoriety because the round is generally considered armor piercing by sheer virtue of its velocity. It is extremely accurate with virtually no recoil and high penetration; however it has very little stopping power even with hollow points. It is most known amongst gamers by its appearance in the Splinter Cell series. This would make a good enemy assassin pistol or an unlockable.
The Austrian Glock 26 – This little 9mm can be found almost everywhere around the planet. It would be appropriate for 47 as an easily obtainable firearm and is commonly carried by many security forces as a backup pistol in addition to its larger variants. It is highly concealable, features a 10 round 9mm magazine and has an effective range of about 40 meters (which is fantastic for its size.) Like all Glocks of the same caliber and the FMG-9 by extension, it can share 10, 15, 18, 32, and 33 round magazines with its counterparts. I would expect to see something like this carried by bodyguards in the game as a backup, or by targets.
The Russian MP412 REX – It would be neat if 47 picked up some souvenirs during his time in Russia. What better way than by bringing back some weapons that are exclusively found there. The MP 412 is one such revolver chambered with 6 rounds in .357 Magnum (and will therefore also accept .38 special.) It was an Izhmech prototype, (the state owned company that designed the Makarov PM) which featured a break-action chamber and automatic ejector. It is very reliable, very accurate with heavy stopping power and an effective range of about 90 meters. This would be a good unlockable weapon for the game, suitably after a mission featuring Russians.
Another Russian pistol could be the GSH-18 – This semiauto 9mm is still in service as a standard Russian sidearm. It is similar in performance to the Czech CZ-75 and would be high accuracy, low recoil, and low damage. This weapon could be carried by any Russian bodyguards or as an unlockable involving a mission featuring Russian targets.

Gotta love Russian marketing.

(English version)The German Walther PPQ – There are several variations of this pistol now including 9mm, .40, and .45, a CCP variant, a standard 4” barrel and a 5” variant. Each is just as reliable and accurate as the other. The 9mm versions feature a 15 and 18 round magazine, the .40 caliber has an 11 round magazine, and the .45 sports a 12 round magazine capacity. This would be an ideal police and guard pistol in addition to the Bartoli 75R, but should be a straight upgrade in terms of performance.
The American Springfiled Operator - Why would 47 need another 1911 you may ask? Why not? I might answer. I've only really included this for the purposes of customization. If customization is added to the game, the addition of a picattiny rail to the ICA 19 or the addition of another 1911 like this would allow for mounting a light/laser and additional customization.
The new Israeli Lightweight Desert Eagle L5/L6- Who doesn't want to see this famous hand cannon return to the Hitman series? Go ahead and role play as Bullet Tooth Tony and his Desert Eagle point five-o. This newer model designed by the U.S. branch of IWI, is chambered in .357 magnum, .44 magnum, or .50 AE and features 9,8, and 7 round magazines respectively. It's a fockin Desert Eagle, does it need a proper place in the game? Just put it there. It'd probably make the best appearance as a top ranking bodyguard's weapon.
The American Ruger 22/45 lite - This popular survival pistol may not be a heavy damage dealer, but it's whisper quiet and deadly accurate out to 150 meters with a 10 round magazine. There are several variations, some integrally suppressed and others with a picatinny rail. This would be a good weapon to have discoverable in a map somewhere, maybe an enemy assassin's hideout.
Antique weapons / collectibles - It'd be neat to see some vintage pieces like this appear in the game, maybe as part of a target's collection. Flintlocks would obviously require a new set of reload animations.
Suggested SMGs:
The German Sig Sauer MPX – This is the modern replacement of the traditional H&K MP5. It sports an incredibly high range of customization options and has very little recoil for a 9mm. This would be the most appropriate SMG choice for guards, police and SWAT teams.
The American Kriss Super V - Arguably the most innovative and advanced small arm to date, this .45 caliber SMG has virtually no recoil as well as a wide range of customization options. Additionally it is compact enough to fit inside a briefcase or small bag. This would make a good customizable ICA SMG but would also be just as appropriate for guards, police, or SWAT.
Suggested Assault Rifles:
The American AAC Honey Badger - This short barreled rifle (SBR) utilizes an integral suppressor with the .300 blackout caliber (which is specifically made for suppressed rifles.) For reference, the round itself is about the size of an AK47 round but more compact. As a result it is very accurate and heavy hitting for such a small package, but has a limited effective range of about 300 meters. The German Sig Sauer MCX has taken the spotlight, providing roughly the same performance and specifications as the Honey Badger. This would be a good assault rifle for an enemy assassin or as an unlockable for 47.
The American DRD Tactical Paratus suitcase assault rifles - I included these rifles because of they're ability to be transported in a small suitcase or bag. If the suitcase returns to Hitman along with customization, this would be a neat option for 47 to load up an assault rifle that could be carried in it. There are several variations of this rifle including .308 marksman variants and 5.56 assault variants. This would be another good option for a customizable ICA assault rifle.
The American DesertTech Micro Dynamic Rifle (MDR) - This is a prototype bull-pup rifle that will soon go into production later this year. What's unique about it is the ability to rapidly swap calibers and configurations, allowing for a wide range of customization options. It can be configured in 9mm, 5.56, 300 blackout, and .308. It can also be integrally suppressed and accommodates modular suppressors (something I'm surprised the animators and researchers at IOI didn't look into.) I would have recommended this as an ICA weapon over the Tavor imitation that they have now. Like the FN-2000 it has an unconventional ejection method where it stores the first several casings before spitting them forward out of the ejection port. The spent casing can be caught in a small trap at the port which would allow 47 to leave limited evidence behind. Out of all the assault rifles in the world this would be the most cutting edge, versatile and appropriate for 47 as a customizable ICA rifle (aside from various AR15 style rifles.)
Suggested Shotguns:
The American Standard Manufacturing Co. DP 12 – This is a double barreled bullpup style pump shotgun similar to the Kel Tec KSG, which the in-game Enram V is modeled after. It is a 12 gauge with a 16 round capacity that is devastating under 20 meters with 00 shot. Slugs can extend the effective range to about 80 meters but since it has to be sighted for one barrel or the other, the accuracy is usually slightly off. This would be a good choice for top of the line bodyguards or soldiers and is a worthy replacement of the traditional SPAS that has appeared in previous Hitman titles.

Sawed off double barreled shotgun - A common Hitman shotgun which could possibly be found in the environment somewhere or used by an eccentric NPC.
The American SRM 1216 – This Is a unique rotating magazine fed 12 gauge with a 16 round capacity. It comes in semi and fully automatic configurations and would be a good option for a lethal or non-lethal riot police shotguns.
Suggested Sniper Rifles:
The German AM DSR-1 .50 caliber – This rifle was adopted by the German GSG 9 in 2004 and comes in .308, .300 Winchester, .338 Lapua, and .50 BMG. It is an extremely accurate and reliable bull-pup (the magazine in the stock is the "loaded" magazine) with a "spare" magazine in front of the trigger. There are integrally suppressed versions as well. This would make for a good heavy caliber rifle for 47 or police snipers in the game.
The American (Micro Dynamic Rifle) MDR SRS-A1 Covert - Like the MDR prototype rifle above, this compact suitcase sniper rifle boasts similar customization options. It's barrel can be easily swapped out for a different caliber from .308 all the way up to .338 Lapua without sacrificing its compact size. Despite being only the size of an MP5, it boasts incredible accuracy out to 1000 meters. Like many of the other options listed, it could be transported in 47's suitcase and would make an ideal customizable ICA suitcase sniper in lieu of the Walther WA 2000.
The American Nemesis Arms Vanquish - This rifle has been featured in the American Bourne series of spy - action films. It is one of the more compact rifles and breaks down very quickly making it a good option for 47, perhaps as a discover-able weapon. It is not however very customizable and wouldn't make for a great ICA weapon.
The British Rangemaster Precision Arms Ultra - As so often is the case, tier one equipment is not heavily advertised beyond word of mouth. This company is one of the most subtly renowned rifle makers in the world. Their rifles are rarely seen used by anyone other than the absolute best sharpshooters and are usually custom made specifically for that shooter. They are usually only seen during competitions and are the most technologically accurate and finely tuned rifles in the world. This rifle has consistently won the Queen's gold medal at Bisley for years. The ultra is chambered in .308 and .338 Lapua. Some breakdown to fit in carry cases as well. This would be an ideal sniper for an enemy assassin.
The British/American - South African, McMillan Alias CS5 Suitcase Sniper - Chambered in .308 with a 10 round magazine, this is one of the most accurate compact military sniper rifles. It breaks down easily into a small case and can feature an integral suppressor making it a perfect option for 47.
The American Remington Defense RII RSASS - This is the militarized version of a custom JP LRP-07 competition rifle. It is chambered in .308, features a 20 and 30 round magazine, and is effective out to 800 meters. This rifle falls more into the category of a designate marksman rifle or battle rifle rather than an outright sniper due to it's low recoil and rapid rate of fire. As such it would be an ideal weapon for police snipers to use in the game. It can be used to clear rooms just as easily as it can make long distance shots.
German Walther WA2000 - 47's signature custom suitcase sniper. Enough said. While this isn't the most compact or even accurate of suitcase snipers, it's just so damn iconic it'd be a shame to leave it out if nothing else as a top tier unlockable.
Suggested Melee Weapons:
I'd like to discuss the animations and availability of improvised melee weapons, such as pots, pencils, books etc. at some point in the future. See here:
http://www.hitmanforum.com/t/animations-melee-combat-weapons/5613
Several of these are a bit off the wall but bear with me, they're just creative ideas.
Obviously 47's animations would need a little more work for some of these but I'll open that can of worms later. The Benchmade 3300 Infidel OTF knife, one of the better quality concealable OTFs that would be appropriate for 47. An animation for the knife deploying would be needed.
The RMJ Kestrel Tomahawk - I know this is a stretch for 47 but bear with me. This is a very high quality tomahawk which was actually designed for covert carry with a suit. The scabbard is worn either under the armpit or on the back under a suit jacket, allowing the wearer to draw the tomahawk quickly and from concealment. This would be a neat addition for a high end bodyguard or similar.
Kiku Matsuda Swords / Daggers or similar (I remembered what they were) - Master Kiku Matsuda is renowned for making "modern" samurai swords. They are some of the sharpest and highest quality blades available and in some cases cost more than several of the firearms listed here. Upon request he has custom designed and inscribed concealable swords and daggers for several British SAS units. I bring these up because I used to know a bodyguard that carried one of these upside down on his back under a suit jacket. As strange as it seems, (mostly because it's illegal in many countries to carry such things) these are apparently not uncommon among high profile bodyguards. Like the RMJ Kestrel tomahawk, it would make for an intimidating option for someone like Novikov's bodyguard to carry, as well as an unlock-able option for 47.
Additional Fixed Blade Ideas :
Spartan Blades Horkos
Boker Magnum Dark Raider
Browning Black Label Strike
Boker Magnum Siera Delta Tanto
Carbon Fiber Knives - defeats metal detectors (not in real life so don't be an idiot.)
I'd love to see a karambit as well but that would require an entire series of weapon specific combat animations so it's not really practical for this game.
General Weapon Accessory details:
The Suitcase - Just as iconic as 47's Silverballers, many fans would love to see an up-gradable suitcase return to the series. It'd be neat if the case could be modified in different configurations to accommodate different weapons that could be broken down and stored in it. Examples from the suggestions above could include: The MDR, the MDR SRS A1 Covert, the McMillan CS5 Alias, the Nemesis Vanquish, the DRD Tactical Paratus, the Sig MPX, the Kriss Super V, and the AAC Honey Badger as well as a potential hiding place for handguns, explosives or other equipment depending upon the configuration. NPCs could investigate it when it's conveniently left in the middle of a path. If it's upgradeable, early models could possibly be opened by NPCs to reveal the weapon inside and put them on high alert, with later models being locked and only accessible by 47.
