The prisoner

If you knock the prisoner out, and drag him somewhere, as soon as his body has been found, he dies. Haven't seen anyone bring this up, and the people who were watching my stream were quite suprised aswell.

Just something i wanted to share.

5 Months Down the Road and Still No Access

I know there's already a bunch of other topics on here complaining about the online only requirements but this is a real problem, as the requirements were not announced prior to my placing the preorder and there was no option for me to get a refund by the time the disclaimer was added. It's easy to be dismissive of complaints made on the internet as there are many and they rarely amount to much, however, it should be understood that there is a strong case for fraud here and many folks are tired of this kind of corporate abuse.

Style points and trophies

I could. But it seems so videogamey to me. I think part of it comes down to inventory clutter for myself and how 47 has no unique distance oriented non lethal tools that he can choose to bring. From a gameplay perspective everything works well for the most part. But shooting someone in the rear end and going Austin Powers JUDO CHOP was fun the first 47 times. Now it just makes me want something unique to the ICA. Or a shotgun with wrenches. Make it the return of the paper tube. Loads non lethal tools and shoots them.

I'm kidding. But it'd make clearing two guard rooms more fun than using the SMG Covert for its super non effective lethal ammo knockouts.

Hell I'd be happy with unlocking already available weapons and items in levels like the Compact AR or the pistol or shotgun, or Baton as examples.

The Summer Bonus Episode consists of two separate ICA missions which catalogue Agent 47’s first trips to both Sapienza and Marrakesh. This Episode is not part of the story arc of HITMAN, being previous ICA missions they are set apart from the main story.

A House Built on Sand (Targets: Kong Tuo-Kwang and Matthieu Mendola)
Set at the frenetic night markets in Marrakesh, a mole for a major construction company is about to sell secrets to their largest rivals. Agent 47 is tasked with making sure the leak stops there and has been tasked with putting an end to the deal by eliminating two targets and recovering critical documents.

The Icon (Target: Dino Bosco)
When the town of Sapienza is taken over by a film crew shooting a new sci-fi blockbuster, Agent 47 must aim to retire one of the cast members during a climactic scene being staged late at night in the town square.

Summer Bonus Episode will release July 19 between 11am & 1pm UTC.

The HITMAN Summer Bonus Episode consists of two separate ICA missions which catalogue Agent 47’s first trips to both Sapienza and Marrakesh. This Episode is not part of the story arc of HITMAN, being previous ICA missions they are set apart from the main story.

In Sapienza, ‘The Icon’, sees the town taken over by a film crew shooting a new sci-fi blockbuster complete with a 100ft mechanical killer robot in the middle of the town square. And in ‘A House Built on Sand’ players will travel to the noisy and busy night markets of Marrakesh where Agent 47 must stop a billion dollar deal taking place.

The Summer Bonus Episode is available for players who own the Full Experience or own the combination of Intro Pack + Upgrade Pack, at no additional cost. For all other players, the Summer Bonus Episode will be available for individual purchase later in the Season, packaged together with a third bonus mission for one price. At that time, Full Experience and Upgrade Pack owners will also get access to the third bonus mission at no additional cost.

2 new ICA missions: 'The Icon' and 'A House Built on Sand'
8 new Opportunities, 4 for each new mission.
2 new weapon/gear unlocks (earned through challenges)

- Janbiya

Live Content for Summer Bonus Episode will include: New Escalation Contracts, Elusive Targets and New Featured Contracts (Contracts Mode).

After a maintenance period, all HITMAN players will be prompted to download a game update on July 19th. We expect the update to be available to download between 11am and 1pm UTC for players on PS4 and Xbox One. For PC players, we expect the update to be available to download between 1pm and 3pm UTC. All players will receive the update with the following improvements and changes to the game.

New Additions

Leaderboards now display the Contract completion time of all players, when viewing their detailed score.

Added a detailed pop-up of the required Target Kill/Objective conditions on the Briefing Page and Notebook.

Added a tile to the ‘Destination’ page that shows the next upcoming destination.

Added Tips and Hints to the Loading Screen.

Added a filter on the Challenges menu that allows you to toggle which challenges are displayed. There are three options: ‘Show all’, ‘Show achieved’ or ‘Show unachieved’.

Added an option under Options:Gameplay to toggle the Challenge Completion pop-up. This is shown in the top-right hand corner when you complete a challenge. There are two options: ‘Show Challenge notifications’ or ‘Hide Challenge notifications’.

Added an option under Options:Gameplay to toggle ‘Target Indicators’ on the Mini Map. There are two options: ‘On’ or ‘Off’.

Challenges for Elusive Targets have been moved to their own category, allowing players to have a better overview of the challenges that have been completed on each mission.

When selecting a contract in the Contracts menu, the location and mission name will be shown.
Example: Marrakesh / A Gilded Cage.

The Featured Hub will now display the newest episodic content.

In the case of a disconnection from the servers whilst browsing the game menu, a ‘Reconnect’ option has been added.

The mission briefing videos for the first three Sarajevo Six missions have been added to the briefing page for each respective mission.

Changes to Existing Features

Unconscious targets can now be dumped into body containers that allow the player to then kill them. For example, unconscious targets can now be dumped in the shredder and acid containers in the World of Tomorrow mission. Sorry, Silvio.

Adjusted the design of the surveillance system so that all cameras are linked on a “global” system within the mission. All cameras are now connected to all recorders in a mission and if a player disables one recorder, all cameras no longer record 47.

Changes to how the ICA Remote Audio Distraction item functions. This item now attracts the attention of other characters only if is remotely activated, as intended. Previously, it would attract attention as soon as it was equipped. NPCs become suspicious of the device if 47 is carrying it or they discover it.

Changes to how the Remote Breaching Charge item functions. This item now has a small, lethal explosive radius.

The ‘Featured Contracts’ order has been 'reversed', so that the newest Contracts are shown first when viewing the list.

Elusive Target status is now only shown on the Featured Hub for the duration of the contract. The game will no longer permanently remind you that you failed an Elusive Target.

Updated the Escalation Contract Briefing page to show the newest objective/complication first, on the left side. You no longer need to scroll to the right to see the newly added complication.

Updated some of the Challenge descriptions to reflect that you can still erase evidence after being recorded.

Fixes for Existing Issues

General stability improvements across all platforms

Fixed a handful of issues that could lead to dips in performance in Marrakesh.

Fixed an issue that could result in 47 being spotted through the walls in a closed room in the markets during the A Gilded Cage mission.

Fixed an issue where guards in the ‘hunting’ state would know exactly where 47 was located after a crime had been reported to them by a civilian. Now, guards will investigate the area where the civilian witnessed the crime, and not where 47 is currently located.

Fixed an issue where using a syringe with the ‘Silent Attack’ prompt would result in other characters reacting to the action. This action is now silent, as intended.

Fixed an issue that could cause some decals to not appear in the Final Test mission

Fixed rare issues that could cause opportunities in Paris to not update.

Fixed an issue where dragging bodies could result in 47 hands shaking unnaturally.

Fixed an issue where the complication timer during Escalation Contracts could skip a second, i.e going from 17 seconds remaining to 15 seconds remaining.

HITMAN Companion

The briefing videos for Elusive Target Contracts are of critical importance. Your contract handler, Diana, will give you specific information that will help you identify your target. If you want to review the briefing at any time when the contract is live - even whilst you’re playing the contract itself, the HITMAN Companion is the ideal solution.

For every Elusive Target that is released, we’ll send notifications through the Companion, and you’ll be able to view the image, countdown and briefing video of the target for the duration of the contract.

Elusive Target Rewards

For completing Elusive Targets, we have some very unique rewards that can be earned. For completing 5 Elusive Target Contracts, players will unlock the Hitman Absolution Signature Suit, with ICA tie pin and black leather gloves. For completing 10 Elusive Target Contracts, players will unlock the Blood Money Signature Suit, with gloves.

We want to make sure that the suit rewards you'll earn through Elusive Targets are prestigious, and that they can be unlocked at a faster rate. But, if you wait too long and miss too many Elusive Targets, you won't be able to unlock them all.

Here's the Hitman Absolution Signature Suit with gloves that you will unlock after completing 5 Elusive Target Contracts:

More about Elusive Targets

An Elusive Target is the closest thing to the Hitman fantasy that we've ever created. Each one is a custom-created character with their own backstory and their own unique reason for being in that location. We call them Elusive Targets because they are added to an existing location for a limited time in real-time and you'll only have one chance to take them down. If you kill them, that's the way that you killed them. There are no do-overs and no second chances. When an Elusive Target leaves the game world, they never return.

As always, Diana will brief you with critical intel that will help you track down and kill the target. That intel is more important than ever because Elusive Targets do not appear as targets on the mini map or instinct. You'll need to explore, find your target, study their movements and come up with a plan to eliminate them - all whilst playing. The pressure will be on when you've got the target in your sights. If you miss the shot and chaos breaks loose, you will need to have a plan B, because the save-game is disabled during an Elusive Target contract.

We know that Elusive Targets are not going to be easy, they were designed that way.

Need a recap? This is Elusive Targets in a nutshell:

  • Elusive Targets are added to the game for a limited time in real-time. They won’t return.

  • You only get one chance to take them down. If you die, you fail the contract and cannot retry it.

  • Elusive Targets do not show up on the in-game map or Instinct. You need to locate and identify them with limited intel.

  • Earn in-game rewards for completing multiple Elusive Target contracts throughout the season.

  • Every Elusive Target adds two unique challenges to the game; one 'target' challenge for eliminating the specific Elusive Target and a 'Silent Assassin' challenge for eliminating the target without being spotted and without any non-target casualties.

This type of marketing is something I would call passive-agressive. It only angers customers who went for buying piece by piece. Is that supposed to discipline customers for not buying the full thing right away?

The first "good" (or at least not evil) target?

Many people have complained about how in all the other missions the targets have been clearly evil bad guys, engineering bioweapons, selling MI5 names and trying to cause a military coup. However in this mission the target may be a Diva, or a bit of an arsehole but the biggest crime he has committed is being a washed up film star who is making a film that has gone over budget. Nice to have a change and show 47 is fighting for good or trying to make the world a better place, he is killing for profit.
